When we require such information, it will be treated in full compliance with the regulation above.

Website Analytic Information

We use ‘Plausible’ as analytics platform. As such, we do not track people across their devices and across websites and apps that they visit. All the data is isolated to a single day, single website and single device only. There is no way to know whether the same person visits a site from more than one device or visits another website.

The goal is to track overall trends in our website traffic, it is not to track individual visitors. We don’t use cookies, we don’t generate any persistent identifiers and we don’t collect or store any personal or identifiable data. All of the data is aggregated data only and it has no personal information.

All the site measurement is carried out absolutely anonymously. We measure only the most essential data points and nothing else. All the metrics we do collect fit on one single page. Here is the complete list of what we collect and store about your website visitors:

    • Page URL: We track the page URL of each page view on your website. We use this to show you which pages have been viewed and how many times a particular page has been viewed.
    • HTTP Referrer: We use the referrer string to show you the number of visitors referred to your website from links on other sites.
    • Browser: We use this to show you what browsers and browser version numbers people use when visiting your website. This is derived from the User-Agent HTTP header. The full User-Agent is discarded.
    • Operating System: We use this to show you what operating systems people use when visiting your website. We show the brand of the operating system and the version number. This is derived from the User-Agent HTTP header. The full User-Agent is discarded.
    • Device Type: We use this to show you what devices people use when visiting your website. Devices are categorized into desktop, mobile or tablet. This is derived from the User-Agent HTTP header. The full User-Agent is discarded.
    • Country, region, city: We look up the visitor’s location using their IP address. We do not track anything more granular than the city level and the IP address of the visitor is discarded. We never store IP addresses in our database or logs.

On our website, we use conversion tracking by means of LinkedIn Insight Tag. LinkedIn Insight Tag is a tool offered by LinkedIn Ireland. To enable this conversion tracking, the LinkedIn Insight Tag is integrated in our website and a cookie is placed on your device by LinkedIn. LinkedIn learns that you have visited our website and your IP address is collected. Time stamps and events such as page views are also saved. This enables us to evaluate the use of our website statistically, so that we can continuously optimise our website. For example, we can find out which LinkedIn advertisement or interaction brought you to our website.

You can find more information about conversion tracking at https://www.linkedin.com/help/linkedin/answer/67595. We would like to point out that LinkedIn data can be stored and processed in a way that makes it possible to link them to the profile of the user in question. We would also like to point out that LinkedIn can use the data for its own advertising purposes. For more information, please read LinkedIn’s privacy policy, at https://www.linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy. You can stop LinkedIn from analysing your user behaviour and showing you interest-based recommendations via the following link: https://www.linkedin.com/psettings/guest-controls/retargeting-opt-out.

How do we collect your data?

The only personally identifiable information (such as your name, e-mail address, residence, etc.) we collect is what you enter into contact forms on the website or provide to us in the form of a resume when you apply for a position at The Collective.

Optional third-party tracking methods may attempt to corroborate information it already has on you by means of a shadow profile (a collection of personal data related to you based on a mix of assumptions and your own search queries on the platforms that build such a profile on you). You are always at liberty to refuse the collection and processing of this information by rescinding your consent for any previously accepted optional categories in our cookie settings page.

How will we use your data?

Information you provide to us through the job application form is solely used for the purpose thereof. The provided information is not shared with third-parties, or used for any other purpose than processing your application.

Information you provide in the standard contact form on our “contact us” page is solely used to contact you with regards to your inquiry.

Information you provide when signing up for our newsletter (such as your name, email address, company, and job title) is used to respond to your inquiry and/or to send you periodic updates, invitations, and marketing information that we believe is relevant to your professional role and interests.

Access to gated content: when you complete a form to access specific content (such as white papers, reports, recorded webinars, or interactive tools), we collect your details (such as name, email address, company, and job title) to provide you with the requested material. In addition, we may use this information to follow up with you regarding the topic of the content, to share related insights, and to inform you about similar services or future events that may be of interest to you.

To manage the communications of the standard contact form, your information is stored in a Customer Relationship Management solution (based on Microsoft 365 Dynamics), so we can better coordinate our communication efforts with you across our team. To manage the communications from the newsletter and gated content, your data is stored in our Customer Relationship Management solution (based on Microsoft Dynamics 365) and in our marketing automation tool (ActiveCampaign). Both tools allow us to coordinate our communication and ensure you only receive relevant information.

You can unsubscribe or object to further marketing communications at any time via the unsubscribe link in our emails or by contacting us directly.

Email engagement tracking: when we send you marketing emails via ActiveCampaign, we collect limited engagement data such as whether an email was opened or a link was clicked. We use this information to measure the effectiveness of our communications, understand which topics are most relevant, and reduce the chance of sending you unwanted messages. This is done as part of our business interest in keeping our communications useful and relevant. You can opt out of this tracking at any time by unsubscribing from our emails or contacting us directly.

How do we store and protect your data?

The Collective Consulting securely stores your data within Microsoft’s datacenter in the European Union. Appropriate security measures are in place to ensure the security of your information. To this point, The Collective Consulting has an extensive Information Security Management System (ISMS) and is ISO27001:2013 certified.

For website (traffic) analysis through Plausible: all of the data that we do track and collect is kept fully secured, encrypted and hosted on 100% renewable energy powered server in Falkenstein, Germany. The server is owned by Hetzner, a European company. This ensures that all of the website data is being covered by the European Union’s strict laws on data privacy. A data protection agreement between The Collective and Plausible exists.

Data obtained through LinkedIn Insights Tag is stored in the LinkedIn data center in accordance with their own policies and your own account settings. The LinkedIn Insight Tag drops a cookie on your visitors’ web browsers when they visit your website. Cookie information is matched against LinkedIn’s member account data to build your audience. Direct identifiers are removed from this data within seven days, and the data is deleted at 180 days. An anonymous segment of matched LinkedIn member accounts becomes available for targeting within your Campaign Manager advertising account once the audience segment reaches at least 300 member accounts. Matched LinkedIn member accounts are deleted on a rolling basis.
